Good gracious have we had a hectic couple of weeks. I started getting some contractions a few weeks ago and they just kept coming and kept getting worse. So about 2 weeks ago the contractions woke me up in the middle of the night. I called the doctor about it the next day and they made me come in to see them. They checked to make sure that I wasnt losing fluid and they even checked to make sure that my cervix was still closed. Everything looked okay but they have limited my activity and slowed me down with work. Right now we are just keeping an eye on everything and I am doing my best to stay rested and hydrated. We are now 29 weeks pregnant and if he can stay put for 6 or 7 more weeks then we should be perfect.
It definitely stresses me out to think about him being here this soon. I havent done any of the things that I want to accomplish. We still have so much to do on the house and his room. We also havent taken childbirthing classes yet and we havent even toured the hospital. I have finally scheduled a time to tour the hospital but I need to find time to fit in the classes. I have started making “honey-do” lists for JP. Bless his heart, he comes home and I just hand him a long list of things that I want to accomplish. We have done a good bit this weekend. I am doing a lot of cleaning - I guess you could call it “fall-cleaning”. I am making sure that we are cleaned top to bottom and in a way that should be easy for me to maintain as I get bigger and once he gets here. Things are going to be hectic until he arrives - especially with the holidays around the same time. But I cant wait.
I think Miriam and I have picked a date for my baby-shower. Right now I am so glad that I didnt do a wedding shower. I would really feel bad to have ppl come to 2 different showers in less than a year! But nonetheless, we are registered and hopefully will have a good turn-out to the shower.
