The Romeo Family

What a crazy day! This morning was just plain yucky, much like all of the other days we seem to have had lately. It was wet and nasty. We had to take AJ to the doctor because with this last ear infection the antibiotics didnt work because he has been on it too much. So we took him to the doctor and WAITED, FOREVER. Actually I guess I shouldnt say that, in all honesty we didnt wait that long. We are very blessed that our pediatrician gets us in and out and I guess the cold and flu season has been a little tougher on her and they were a little backed up. But we finally see her and she said that poor little man had pretty nasty infection in both ears. So now we are on a second round of antibiotics and if these don't clear it up then it will be an automatic pass to tubes. But even if they clear up this time he will have to get tubes the next time he gets an ear infection.

So we leave the doctors office and drive home. We get home to find that the back few feet of our back yard was flooded. We went and put the boy to bed and had a bite to eat and in that 20 minutes our backyard flood had doubled in size. I had to leave to go to work and by the time it got to its highest the water was 9yrds from the house and 5.5 to 6 feet deep at the back of the yard. It was ABSOLUTELY insane. Definitely had us panicking for a little bit. But then out of nowhere all of the water just disappeared. It was so crazy.
